A panel session titled, "Integration Processes in the Field of Customs Regulation: Innovations and Economic Benefits", was held as part of the 4th Eurasian Economic Forum in Minsk. This was a key EEF business-oriented event.
The session was moderated by EEC customs cooperation minister Ruslan Davydov. Together with deputy heads of customs services from EAEU member states and members of the business community, he discussed the prospects for customs innovation and its impact on Eurasian integration.
Representatives from customs services shared the results of their work over the ten years since the EAEU's establishment and discussed plans to introduce advanced technology into the daily operations of customs authorities. Business community members offered practical recommendations to enhance cooperation between customs and businesses.
"Coordinated joint efforts by the Commission and the customs services of EAEU member states is key to achieving the goals of Eurasian customs integration", Davydov said. "These efforts aim to create favorable conditions for the Union's foreign economic activities and a positive business climate for bona fide market participants."
