Accreditation rules for the media and blogosphere
1. General provisions
1.1. Accreditation of representatives of the media (hereinafter referred to as “media”) and the blogosphere at the Eurasian Economic Forum (hereinafter referred to as “Forum”) is to provide the necessary conditions for professional activities to prepare and distribute full and accurate information about the events of the Forum.
1.2. Media and blogosphere accreditation is mandatory for all Forum events.
1.3. The editorial board of the media and blogosphere is responsible for the accuracy of the data provided about the organization’s employees in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
1.4. Representatives of the media and the blogosphere must respect the rights and legitimate interests of Forum participants and staff and comply with generally recognized norms of ethics when carrying out their professional activities.
1.5. Given the limited infrastructural capacity of the event venue, the number of media and blogosphere representatives who can participate in the Forum is limited due to the organizers' desire to ensure that media and blogosphere representatives have the best possible working conditions and quick access to all necessary resources.
1.6. The Forum will comply with all safety measures and recommendations of the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
Information will be posted on the official website in a timely manner.
2. Accreditation of media and blogosphere representatives
2.1. Applying for accreditation
- Representatives of the media and the blogosphere who wish to participate in coverage of Forum events should apply for accreditation (hereinafter referred to as “application”) on the official Forum website (forum.eaeunion.org/).
- All fields in the application must be filled in, paying particular attention to the mandatory fields marked with an asterisk.
- Applications are accepted on the official website from 10 May to 17 May 2023.
- Applications will be considered within up to 10 calendar days after the deadline for registration of media and blogosphere representatives.
- Accreditation for media and blogosphere representatives is valid for all days of the Forum.
- Applications are accepted from representatives of the blogosphere who have a ‘Confirmed Account’ status in the Forum accreditation system.
2.2. Accreditation quotas for media and blogosphere representatives
- From the print media:
- ✓ newspaper – 3 representatives (2 correspondents, 1 photographer);
- ✓ magazine – 2 representatives (1 correspondent, 1 photographer)
- From news agencies – 4 representatives (2 correspondents, 2 photographers).
- From the electronic media – 2 representatives (1 correspondent, 1 cameraman).
- From TV companies – 7 representatives (2 correspondents, 1 producer, 2 cameramen, 2 sound technicians).
- From the radio companies – 2 representatives (2 correspondents).
- From the blogosphere – 3 representatives.
The number of representatives from the media partners of the Forum is determined in accordance with the media partnership agreements.
2.3. Issuing accreditation badges for representatives of the media and blogosphere
- Representatives of the media and blogosphere receive accreditation badges, subject to the approval of their registration applications by the Forum Organizing Committee.
- Accreditation badges are issued in Moscow, at accreditation points. Information on the location and opening hours of accreditation points is available on the official Forum website.
- Accreditation badges may only be issued under the following conditions:
- with confirmed accreditation in the Forum database;
- with written consent to personal data processing;
- upon presenting your passport (all passport details must match those on the registration form);
- in the case of collecting an accreditation badge by proxy, a power of attorney as well as a copy of your passport must be produced;
- members of the blogosphere must have a ‘Confirmed Account’ status in the Roscongress Foundation system.
- Accreditation badges are issued to specific individuals. Transfer to third parties is strictly prohibited. The badge must stay visible at all times when at the Forum venue.
- Any other accreditation cards are not valid for accessing the Forum venue.
- If an accreditation badge is lost, misplaced or stolen, the media or blogosphere representative should immediately report it to any information desk. The lost badge will be blocked. A duplicate will be issued upon written request.
2.4. Rules of access to Forum events
- Media and blogosphere accreditation is mandatory for all Forum events.
- Media and blogosphere technical staff access the Forum venue in accordance with the rules for technical staff access to the Forum venue.
- Access to the venue for media representatives, bloggers and media technical staff will be possible after taking a test for coronavirus. The procedure and details of the test, as well as the list of PCR test locations, will be determined later and published on the Forum website. The test must be taken exclusively in accordance with the procedure determined by Rospotrebnadzor on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Forum. Information on accreditation points and testing procedures will be posted on the official website.
3. Refusal of accreditation
The Forum Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse accreditation without explanation.
4. Rights and obligations of accredited media and blogosphere representatives
4.1. A media and blogosphere representative accredited at the Forum has the right to
- use all services specifically designed for media and blogosphere;
- receive information about official Forum events and exhibitions (press releases, business programme, etc.);
- work in the Forum press centre during official events, using the infrastructure of the Forum press centre;
- participate in press conferences, briefings and other press events.
4.2. A media and blogosphere representative accredited at the Forum shall
- verify the accuracy of the information they report;
- honour the requests of those providing information with regard to naming sources;
- when receiving information from officials and others, inform them that an audio/video/film/photo recording is being made;
- not use their professional capacity to conceal information or falsify information of public interest, or to gather information for the benefit of a third party or a non-media organization;
- suspend (terminate) photo/video filming at the request of Forum security staff;
- not take photographs/make video recordings at the security checkpoints of the Forum venue;
- not distribute printed materials within the Forum venue without the approval of the Forum Organizing Committee;
- when using official information and quoting statements by Forum participants, follow the Forum Acknowledgement Policy, namely: finished materials must mention the Forum and the source of the information received. Electronic media and blogs must include a link to the official Forum website (forum.eaeunion.org/). Alteration, embellishment, or distortion of any copied (cited) information is prohibited.
