The participants of the EAEU–Indonesia networking session presented relevant areas for investment as well as development prospects in various industries in Indonesia and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union at the second Eurasian Economic Forum. The event is taking place in Moscow on 24–25 May. The operator of the event is the Roscongress Foundation.
Session participants discussed the prospects for the development of the aluminum industry in the EAEU and Indonesia, Russian experience in creating and developing a code of ethics for artificial intelligence, opportunities for the development of Indonesian agriculture and creative industries, as well as cooperation in fisheries and insulin production, among other things.
The session consisted of short presentations and question-and-answer segments. The participants included representatives of the business community and organizations from various spheres: Andrey Neznamov – Managing Director, Head of AI Regulation Center, Sberbank; Andrey Gutorov, Advisor to the CEO of URALCHEM Trading House; Surzhana Bayaskhalanova, Manager of International Development Department at Geropharm; Eddy Martono Rustamadji – Chairman, Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI); Aileen Hutomo – Chief Executive Officer, Alimindus Chemicals PT.
The Republic of Indonesia became a partner country of EAEF 2023. A series of events with representatives of the country's authorities and business community took place as part of the Forum. Participants of the EAEU–Indonesia Business Dialogue considered priority tasks for deepening cooperation, discussed the creation of sustainable infrastructure, as well as the enhancement of supply chains, the development of digital initiatives, and the elimination of non-tariff barriers. The dialogue continued during a business breakfast and B2B events, such as bilateral meetings between companies.
The second Eurasian Economic Forum is being held as part of the Russian Federation's chairmanship of the EAEU bodies in 2023. The aim of the Forum is to improve cooperation ties within the Eurasian space.
