On 28 May 2026, as part of the Fifth Eurasian Economic Forum, a thematic session titled “Principles for the Responsible Use of AI in Eurasian Economic Integration” will take place. The event will be held in an open format and organized by the Internal Markets, Informatization, and ICT unit of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The discussion will focus on the strategic role of artificial intelligence as a driver of deeper cooperation and a source of new growth within the EAEU common market. Participants will explore how joint AI initiatives can contribute to the development of a unified data space, the advancement of “smart” logistics, and the alignment of regulatory and ethical frameworks with emerging technologies. Particular attention will be given to the practical deployment of AI across the Union and its tangible benefits for businesses and citizens of member states.
Participants will also discuss the creation of a shared infrastructure for testing, validation, and scaling AI solutions within the EAEU, as well as the risks and challenges associated with AI adoption and areas for closer cooperation and greater coordination of approaches. Special attention will be given to priority sectors for launching joint AI projects and to the support instruments provided by the Eurasian Development Bank Digital Initiatives Fund.
The session will bring together ministers responsible for digital development in EAEU member states, as well as senior representatives of the Eurasian Development Bank and the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications. The session will be moderated by Varos Simonyan, Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, Information & Communication Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
