As part of the Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana, a thematic session will be held to focus on the international climate agenda in the context of challenges and opportunities for the Eurasian Economic Union.
During the event, with the participation of Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, participants will exchange views on the implementation of product carbon footprint standards, their impact on export potential, and the transition to more sustainable production practices, as well as climate projects implemented in EAEU member states and climate regulation measures that may create barriers to free intra-Union trade.
The session “The International Climate Agenda: Challenges and Opportunities for the EAEU” will feature leading experts, as well as representatives of international organizations, government authorities and the business community with practical experience in trade, sustainable development and climate policy.
