A panel session of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s technical regulation block, “Digital Product Safety Ecosystem: Platform Solutions and Economic Outlook”, will take place on May 28 in Astana as part of the Eurasian Economic Forum.
The session will be moderated by Alexander Subbotin, Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The event is planned as an open dialogue with heads of competent authorities and representatives of the business community from the EAEU Member States. Speakers will also include representatives of a number of international organizations.
The central focus of the session will be the “Digital Technical Regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union” project, which has been under implementation since 2023.
The session aims to present the key results achieved to date under the project, gather constructive input from stakeholders on the further development of its digital services in the short and medium term, and facilitate the exchange of experience in the digital transformation of technical regulation and standardization, conformity assessment, and accreditation. It will also contribute to strengthening the professional community at the intersection of technical regulation and the IT sector.
