On June 26, the 4th Eurasian Economic Forum will host meetings of two councils of technical regulation leaders.
The meeting of the Council of Heads of State (National) Standardization Bodies of the EAEU Member States, to be held from 1–2:30 PM in B2B Hall 1 on Level 2, will focus on the following topics.
- Systemic issues in the development of standardization within the EAEU;
- Long-term work plan of the Council up to 2027.
The Council of Heads of State (National) Standardization Authorities of the EAEU Member States was created as an EAEU subsidiary body to advance standardization efforts and to coordinate concerted steps by national standardization authorities. In 2025, Belarus holds the chairmanship of the Council, which is led by Elena Morgunova, chair of the country's State Committee for Standardization.
The meeting of the Council of Heads of Accreditation Authorities of the EAEU Member States, to be held from 2:45–4:15 PM in B2B Hall 1 on Level 2, will focus on the following topics:
- Implementation of the procedure for mutual comparative assessments by accreditation bodies;
- Use of results obtained under the IECEE scheme (electrical equipment certification systems, one of the four conformity assessment systems of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)) for the purpose of demonstrating compliance with the Union's technical regulations.
The Council of Heads of the aforementioned agencies has been established as an EAEU auxiliary body to promote accreditation within the Union. In 2025, Belarus also holds the chairmanship of the Council, which is led by Tatyana Nikolaeva, Director of the Belarusian State Center for Accreditation.
