On June 26, the 4th Eurasian Economic Forum in Minsk will host a roundtable discussion on furthering integration in the field of statistics.
The roundtable, EAEU Statistics 2030: Potential and Prospects of Artificial Intelligence Applications, to be attended by EEC Integration and Macroeconomics Minister Eldar Alisherov, will cover current issues related to strengthening the digital, technological, and innovation capacity of the Eurasian Economic Union's statistical system.
Discussions will focus on the following topics:
- Future of statistics in a digital society, including the aspects of statistical methodology and infrastructure;
- Integration of AI-powered technology, data science, and alternative data sources into official statistics;
- Upgrading statistical business processes and fostering the development of essential professional competencies;
- User-oriented strategy for the development of statistics in the Eurasian Economic Union.
The roundtable (1–2:30 PM Hall 6, first floor) will be attended by the heads of the national statistical agencies of EAEU member states, and representatives from national (central) banks and the research community.
