A discussion on goods labelling and traceability in Eurasia will take place during the session titled "Modern Challenges and New Partnerships: The Development of Customs Regulation in the EAEU" as part of the business programme of the second Eurasian Economic Forum. The Forum is scheduled to take place on 24–25 May in Moscow. The operator of the event is the Roscongress Foundation.
Participants of the session will discuss various topics, including the improvement of customs regulations within the EAEU, the development of information technologies in the current circumstances, the implementation of navigation seals in the EAEU to enhance the unified customs transit system in the Union, and the use of digital tools to establish a more convenient environment for business, citizens and state authorities to interact.
The speakers expected to participate in the session are Eldar Alisherov, Member of the Board (Minister) for Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission; Alexey Sazanov, State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation; Valentin Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation; Ekaterina Priezzheva, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation; Alexander Egorichev, Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia; Andrey Bolshakov, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus; Ashot Muradyan, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia; Elnura Mambetzhunusheva, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic; and Leonid Lozbenko, Chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Customs Service. The session will be moderated by Ruslan Davydov, Acting Head of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation.
The second Eurasian Economic Forum is being held as part of the Russian Federation's presidency of the EAEU bodies in 2023. The aim of the Forum is to improve cooperative ties in the Eurasian space. The EAEF 2023 will include about 35 business sessions, which will be divided into seven thematic tracks: Human Capital, Technology and Cooperation, The EAEU in a Changing World, Eurasian Collectiveness, The EAEU Internal Market: Cooperation in Customs, Competition, and State Procurement, the strategic section, and the EAEU Business Council track. In addition, the EAEF will summarize the results of the first Green Eurasia climate project competition, which aims to find effective practices for adaptation and mitigation of climate change, as well as other climate practices aimed at sustainable development of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union.
